13/. Untested or re-tested models will be given clear air space for the initial trimming flight.


14/. All members should ask for advice or help before flying model types they have not flown before.


15/. Rotary wing aircraft have priority use of the flying area for 15 minutes after every hour. (On quiet days other suitable arrangements may be agreed between the pilots).


16/. Aircraft are limited to a maximum noise output of 82 dB(A) at 7 metres.


17/. If microlights or powered para gliders are using adjacent fields all model aircraft must be grounded until safe flying procedures are established.



GROUND SAFETY

18/. Before flying starts the pits will be located in dead air space in a safe area 10 metres from the flight line.


19/. All models must be restrained when in the pits.


20/. When starting all model propellers must be on the edge of and pointing out from the pits.


21/. The Pilots’ Box will be positioned in dead air space towards the down wind end of the strip.


22/. Frequency control for 35 Mhz equipment is the name on peg off system. For 2.4GHz equipment it is the name on system. Suitable flags, pennants or ribbons will be attached to transmitters.



FLYING SAFETY

23/. If your aircraft is approaching Dead Air Space you must turn away towards the safest direction.


24/. You must make sure other pilots know your intentions before taking off, landing or recovering a model.


25/. When mixed model types are being flown together the pilots must agree safe procedures for aerobatics and low flying.


26/. Pilots will agree the direction of suitable and safe circuits. A direction arrow will be used.



SLOPE FLYING

27/. When ever possible pilots should confirm the “slope of the day” before setting out.

28/. Before flying starts pilots must agree the launch and landing areas, the pilots box position and the method of frequency control.


29/. Any further arrivals must comply with the arrangements made.


30/. At busy times pilots must appoint a Safety Marshal. All pilots will be expected to share the duty.


31/. No one should climb down cliffs if they are on their own. Mark the spot and return with help.


32/. All members must follow the Country Code.
