Message from your Chairman

Dear fellow club members,
I wish to thank you for voting me in as chairman for the coming
year. Also a personal thank you to Pete Ferguson for all the hard work
he has done for the club for many years. (thanks Pete).

This year Pete has stood down from the committee to make way for newer members,. On this note I’d like to welcome Richard Hughes as a new committee member and Ashleigh Pritchard as junior committee member. I’m sure these new members will devote a lot of time to the club over the next year (nice one boys).

As many of you will have noticed the days and evenings are getting shorter and colder. On this note I’d like to ask members’ thoughts on maybe an evening once a month for an hour or two down the pub for some fine rc chat.

This year after some chatting and politics I’ve had with the local council I’ve secured a grant for buying new training equipment for the club for the sum of £990. This I’m sure this will help to reduce the drain on club funds for purchasing new equipment.

If any club members would like to discuss any problems or benefits to the club they can contact me any time and I will bring it up at committee meetings. Any points small or large could benefit the club.

Best regards

Dylan

November 2009

Welcome to the December Newsletter. This will be the last for this year. I started putting it together early in November and it has taken until now to finish it. My model building suffers from the same problems; an enthusiastic start followed by a long completion time.

It has been a busy time since the September edition. The weather now has an autumnal (wintry) feel to it; the A.G.M. has been and gone; the Club has a new Chairman, Dylan Roberts and two new committee members; Richard Hughes and Ashleigh Pritchard. Our thanks are due to Pete Ferguson and Steve Dorling, who are not on the committee in 2010, for all the work they put in and time that they have freely given over the past several years to keep your Club going. Their help and dedication to all things flying is greatly appreciated.

Topics for this edition are: summaries of the E.G.M. and A.G.M. a reminder that next year’s subscriptions are due and an apology for not getting the Newsletter out in time to let you know about the club get-together at the Bryncynnan on 4th. December.
